Kristy Lacks

I am a 1992 Graduate of Douglas High School. After graduation from Athens State University, I filled a leave for 1/2 a year at Crossville High School. In the summer of 2004, I accepted my dream position at Douglas High School. Douglas was my first choice in schools as I wanted to give something back to the community in which I was raised.
I taught mathematics at Douglas High for many years before taking a position with the Virtual Academy Program at Douglas. I am now the math teacher of record for the Virtual Academy Program and teach AP Computer Science Principles. I love teaching mathematics, but more importantly, I love teaching children.
In previous years, I have been a sponsor of Mu Alpha Theta and Math Team at Douglas. I am currently a Senior class sponsor, Harvest Festival sponsor, and Virtual Program sponsor at Douglas High.
