The 2019-2020 Douglas Band Program consists of over 150 students in grades 6-12.

The Pride of Douglas Eagle Band, our marching entity, fielded 85 members this year grades 8-12. This year our band participated in 2 marching band competitions.

At the Sand Mountain Invitational in Boaz, Al, we received Superior ratings for Drum Major, Band, Color Guard and Percussion. We received Best in Class Band, Drum Major, and Color Guard.

In Scottsboro, we also received Superior ratings in all captions, and brought home Best in Class trophies for Color Guard and Drum Major as well as high score for soloist Dakota Denson.

Our Varsity Band concert ensemble consists of students in grades 8-12 and has received Superior ratings at Music Performance Ensemble (MPA) yearly since 2017. We also perform free and public concerts for Christmas and Spring.

Students interested in beginning band are able to sign up for band during the spring of their 5th grade year or at the start of school during their 6th grade year. Students get to try out on several instruments before their primary instrument is chosen. Beginner band students perform at the Christmas and Spring concerts.

Our 7th and 8th grade Intermediate band consists of 2nd and 3rd year players. These students continue to work on fundamentals during these developmental years while also performing at Christmas and Spring Concerts.
