Douglas High School Calendar and Announcements

The 2018 graduating class of Douglas High School would like to invite you to their graduation ceremony to be held this Friday, May 18, 2018 at 6:00. This is the largest graduating class Douglas has ever had; therefore, we would like to remind you of some safety precautions that have been put into place.  These safety procedures will be in effect for the coming years. 
  • Gates will not be opened until 5:15.
  • Handicap parking is limited; therefore, please arrive early.
  • Seating is on a first come basis.  No handbags, camera bags, nor backpacks will be allowed.
  • Cars will be allowed to enter from Highway 75 at the entrance near the crosswalk.  We will exit through the lower Highway 75 exit.  Parking will be allowed at the high school.
  • The back gate will be closed.  You may enter through the two main entrances.

We would also like to remind everyone that in case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Plunkett-Wallace Gymnasium at Snead State.

    Tuesday, May 15: Senior Semester Exams for even periods

    Wednesday, May 16: AP Language @ 8 AM

    Wednesday, May 16: Senior Semester Exam make-up day

    Thursday, May 17:  Senior Awards Night - 6:00 pm at Bethany Baptist

    Friday, May 18: Graduation6:00 pm

    Monday, May 21st: Undergraduate Awards Program starts in the gym at 8:15

    Tuesday, May 22nd: Undergraduate Odd Period Exams 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th and 8th following Thursday Schedule

    Wednesday, May 23rd: Undergraduate Evan Period exams, 2nd, 4th, 6th and then 8th

    Thursday, May 24: End of 4th 9 weeks Make-Up Exams

    Thursday, May 24, Last Day for Students

    May 25th and May 29, Professional Development Days, flex day

    Saturday, June 9: ACT off-campus

    Thursday, June 28-July 2: FCCLA National Competition.

    Friday, June 15: Deadline to register for off-campus ACT in July

    Saturday, July 14: ACT off-campus
